Kuraray Advanced Materials

image00009

October 2020 - Thailand

Kuraray Advanced Materials & Chemicals is a Thai company that has earned its spurs as a producer of plastics, polymers, chemicals, elastomers and rubber. On behalf of Thermon Europe, Elektro International was able to supply heat tracing panels for the Thai company. Previous successful collaborations in the field of electrical heat tracing resulted in this new order for six HT panels.

The purpose of the heat tracing panels is to keep the heating of various pipes at the correct level, to ensure that the product that is transported through the pipes remains at the correct temperature, so that it does not freeze, thicken, solidify or become unstable.

To this end, the controls department of Elektro International integrated temperature control units (the so-called TC816) specially developed and supplied by Thermon in the panels, entirely in accordance with the regulations as issued by Thermon. The heating elements on the various pipes and process elements of Kuraray will be monitored from the panels by Residual Current Devices (or GFCI – Ground Fault Circuit Interupters). The power control and temperature regulation is done from the TC816 control units, via Solid State Relay.
