Elektro Internationaal was one of the very first companies in the electro technical sector to obtain ISO certification as early as 1992. Our critical success factor ‘quality’ is supported daily by working with KEMA approved components in a working environment that meets the strictest requirements under the Dutch and European quality standards NEN-EN-IEC61439, NEN1010 and NEN3140. The quality of our products and service is continuously tested and assured.

 

Health and Safety Policy

In order to ensure undisturbed procedures and a safe working environment management wishes to minimally comply with the Health and Safety Policy and meet the requirements stated in the VCA-standards. (VCA: Safety Checklist Contractors). Management has also formulated a health and safety policy that aims for:

  • The best possible safety, the best possible health protection and furthering welfare of labour.
  • Minimizing the risk of personal injury of (temporary) employees, subcontractors and other individuals.
  • Securing the safety of others (not in the employment of Elektro Internationaal).
  • Minimizing the chance and extent of material and environmental damage.

 

Environmental policy

Elektro Internationaal aims at minimizing air, water and soil pollution, waste, noise and other nuisance. Elektro Internationaal has set goals to:

  • Comply with applicable environmental legislation, be it local, provincial or national.
  • Work in and maintain surroundings and make use of resources that minimize environmental impact.
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with stakeholders as to minimize unnecessary inspections.
  • Handle waste and hazardous substances in a responsible and predefined manner.
  • Buy and lease energy efficient vehicles.
  • ​Digitize and reduce use of paper.

Elektro Internationaal encourages employees and relations to drive energy efficient by allowing free use of the electrical charging points that are installed at the main office.

Sustainable human resource management

Elektro Internationaal practices sustainable human resource management which aims for developing and retaining employees. To achieve this personal development trajectories are developed in which talent plays an important role. Elektro Internationaal supports personnel with a broad spectrum of training opportunities. This way existing know-how and talent is further expanded. The career track is mutually assessed in a predetermined interview cycle. Personnel at Elektro Internationaal is encouraged to exercise by providing the opportunity to join sporting events and paying all participation costs.

 

Corporate social responsibility

Elektro Internationaal offers people who have difficulty joining the work force the opportunity to socially participate in a valuable way in the workshop. That is why we regularly hire employees via Ferm Werk, an organization that helps people with special needs to find work.

 

Sector engagement

Elektro Internationaal is a member of FME: the organization of entrepreneurs in the technological industry. With its 2300 members FME is committed to a strong and agile sector, with a focus on innovation and staying the course. The organization helps entrepreneurs in the sector to establish valuable connections in order to find chain-wide solutions to market demands. FME also offers training to further improve performance and competence in the sector.

Elektro Internationaal gladly supports the strong vision of FME on politics concerning strengthening the position of Dutch technology on the world market and keeping technical academic education up to the mark for the future.
