Smart demo and show panel

June 2023 - The Netherlands

For Schneider Electric’s service department, we designed and produced a demo panel in the PrismaSet P-system by Schneider Electric.

The panel will be used to train staff during Technical Fridays, to test firmware updates, and to replicate and troubleshoot faults. It also serves as an impressive showcase panel because it features various visible smart components:

• Masterpact MTZ-2 16H1 4P with Embedded InterFace via Ethernet (IFE): This smart module communicates and transmits data via Ethernet and can control on/off coils via the network.

• Masterpact MTZ-1 16H1 4P with PLC-Controlled on/off Coils: This Masterpact communicates using an IFE (not embedded).

• IFE with 2x IFM (Ethernet InterFace for protocol translation to InterFace Modbus): The IFE communicates with the aforementioned MTZ-1, and the IFMs communicate with the two NSX breakers.

• 2x NSX Circuit Breakers: One of them features motor control that can be managed via the PLC and FDM128.

• FDM128 HMI Screen (Human Machine Interface): This screen allows for various configurations and displays all panel information.

• Various Power Monitoring and Alarm Devices: These are used for Acti9 breakers, NSX breakers, Powertag flex up to 160A, and Powertag rope (flexible current transformers that can be installed later).

• Heattag: A smart sensor designed to detect and report cable overheating.

• TH110 Temperature Meters: These meters are self-powered on the rail and not battery-operated.

• 2x SmartLink Monitors: They monitor status notifications from various breakers and also control relays and breakers.

• PAS800 Gateway and Datalogger: Serving as the gateway and datalogger for the entire panel.

• Power Meter PowerLogic PM5560.

A remarkable piece for study and demonstration purposes!
