Vergeer Holland Cheese

Distributors and busbar system

November 2019 - Bodegraven, The Netherlands

With around five hundred employees, Vergeer Holland is a specialist in ripening, cutting and packaging cheese for customers at home and abroad. This is done from the locations in Reeuwijk, Woerden and Rijping Bodegraven. In addition, a new building location (with integration of the current distribution center) is being added in Bodegraven.

Commissioned by Kromwijk Elektrotechniek, Elektro Internationaal supplies two main distributors in the Prisma P system by Schneider Electric.

Main distributors
The first board with a capacity of 3,200Amp weighs around 1,500 kg and actually consists of two distributors that are connected to each other. The total size of the composite board is 2,106 x 5,356 x 850 (HxWxD).

The second Prisma P-board with a capacity of 2.0000Amp and a size of 2.106 x 2.706 x 650 and a weight of 600 kg is placed with it’s back to the first and then internally connected.

Busbar system

The panels are fitted with busbar connections for more than 600 meters of the Schneider Electric Canalis busbar system, supplied and assembled by STbenelux expert partner of Elektro Internationaal. Two rails of 2,500Amp connect the main distribution boards with the transformer over a length of 13 meters each. The main rail of 1,600Amp runs through the building over a length of 120 meters. Of this main rail, a rail of 60 meters and an amperage of 1,000 branches off to the roof structure. In addition, 8 rails branch off from the main rail, each with a length of 50 meters and an amperage of 250 to feed the packing and processing departments.
